than the time I ran into one of my client’s and his mother, and then took the same kickboxing class with them.
I always knew that it was a possibility that I would run into my client’s while I am out and about in the community without my therapist hat on. I mean, there is a specific grocery store I avoid for that reason alone! But I did not expect to see them on my first day at a new boxing gym! There I was standing in a workout tank top and leggings, thinking that maybe I can leave as quickly as I came in without anyone noticing. Of course that was not the case, so instead I smiled and tried to not act like my awkward self. That being said, I strategically placed myself across the bags so we all couldn’t see each other while we worked out (aka, while I sweated and looked pained the entire time).
Overall we all survived the experience just fine, but I still felt awkward, sweaty, and afraid we’d meet there again…

to acknowledge the fact that upon getting home from Seattle last night my boyfriend not only bought over dinner for that night, but he also brought leftovers for lunch/dinner today.
